Evert Ossar, age 15, was listed as coming West with the Willard Richards Company in 1848. It was probably Evert Orser.


James Clark Owens

Lost in a blizzard near Garden Grove and froze to death.


Abigail Cordelia Burr

Came West with the Benjamin Gardner Company in 1852. Listed in the company were: Abigail Cordelia Burr Owens (age 52), Horace Burr Owens Sr. (33), Horace Burr Owens Jr. (4), James Clark Owens, Jr. (19), Sally Ann Layne Owens (23), and Silas Ardene Owens (2).

Chauncey W. (18) and Priscilla Strong Porter (18) came with the Samuel Gully/Orson Spencer Company in 1849. On the 1850 U. S. Census, they were found in the Great Salt Lake area.

Died of scurvy. Buried in grave #125.
