Pioneer Biographies


The Winter Quarters Project gathers information about members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who lived in the Winter Quarters area between the years of 1846 and 1853.

Please keep in mind that our database contains all the information we have about the person. The biographies are updated weekly. To submit information please visit our submissions page.

Duplicates may occur for a variety of reasons. If a person lived in one ward and had a calling in another (i.e. Bishop) they will be listed twice. (One for each ward) It is possible that a duplicate name could be a parent of the person living in Winter Quarters for which we have no information.

A good way to narrow the search down is to place quotation marks around the name you enter. If no results turn up, remove the quotation marks and try again.
